On 5-3-13, Jonathan brought me flowers before we left for our date at the drive-in movie theater, (which is actually where we had one of our first dates in Dallas about a year and nine months before). This time, we had blankets and pillows all piled in the back of the truck--it was so cute and comfy!

He had put together a nice picnic for us: lemon-pepper crab salad (that he made himself!), blue cheese stuffed olives (my FAVORITE) and some chicken and waffles chips (that he had to search like 10 different stores to find, but he did it because he knew how badly I wanted some!).

Before the movie started, we cuddled in all the blankets and pillows, and he started telling me some reasons why he loved me--that I was beautiful, smart, funny, that I brought so much joy into his life... really sweet stuff! He said, "Do you remember the first time we came here, and I held your hand for the first time?" Then he grabbed my hand, and I felt the ring in my palm. I was super excited. He said, “Audrey, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

 

And, of course, I said yes! We're so excited to start our life together as a married couple!
